My Lyfestyle Through Lyrics
Sunday’s seem to be everyone’s lazy day; a Bruno Mars kind of day, as I call it (Lazy song reference). I didn’t do anything productive today. Wait… I take that back. I cleaned out the fridge, went grocery shopping, washed dishes and did some laundry. Ok, maybe my day was more productive than most of yours.
Throughout my day, my thoughts kept wandering into the abyss of… (I can’t think of a word that best describes this abyss). You? *shrugs*
Yup! I was having THAT kind of day. My thoughts seemed consumed by you. To try and rid myself of you, so that I could focus on the tasks of the day I flipped on my ipod (to the R&B playlist) and the first song on was none other than Brian McKnight’s song Anytime. Really? Of all the songs that came on, this one came on. OH THE IRONY! The lyrics spoke true to what I was wondering. “Do I ever cross your mind, anytime?” I don’t know if I cross your mind, but you cross mine… QUITE a
few times today I might add.
Regardless of who the person is, family or friend, when I think about a person, I make a note of it to contact that person to let them know . I sometimes, immediately email, text and/or call them to see how they’re doing. You never know what kind of day a person is having. It could be that text, email or call that brightens up a person’s day. Whether my gesture is reciprocated or not, it doesn’t matter. Ok… but that honestly is a pet peeve of mine. Contact a person and they don’t respond until HOURS later. Reciprocation people; it contributes to
a strong foundation for a friendship/relationship.
Now here I am blogging about you. Yup! You’re still in my brain. The only thing to do now is go to sleep, right? I guess I’ll do that then.
What is it about a person that makes you think about them? A song? A sound? Their laugh? Their voice? Their favorite dish? Their scent of perfume/cologne?
